About

Pat Del Monaco is currently the New Fairfield First Selectman

"Over the past six years, Khris and I have worked hard to make our Town government open and engaged, to listen and respond to your concerns and to be responsible stewards of New Fairfield's Resources. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to move New Fairfield forward."

Pat Del Monaco has been an active member of the New Fairfield community for many of the 33 years that she has been a resident of New Fairfield, and served as New Fairfield First Selectman since 2017.

Pat has two children who attended New Fairfield schools from Kindergarten through graduation. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University. Prior to her involvement in the community, Pat served as Director of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs at Unilever US.  After leaving Unilever, Pat provided environmental consulting services to both large and small corporate clients.  She served as Chairman of the Inland Wetlands and Conservation Commission for 16 years and supported New Fairfield schools for many years, serving as Co-President of the Consolidated and Middle School PTOs and as Co-President of the Rebel Music Boosters.

As First Selectman, Pat strives to respond to the needs of the community.

Pat led the Town through the macroburst of 2018, the COVID-19 pandemic, and Tropical Storm Isaias, providing frequent updates and critical information to residents.  She oversaw the construction of two new schools, completed on schedule and within budget.  Pat has supported Public Safety, adding School Resource Officers to all New Fairfield Schools, and securing $2.1 million in Federal funding to upgrade our emergency communication system.  Pat also worked with the Board of Selectmen to leverage federal ARPA funding to invest in critical town infrastructure projects and local small businesses.

Pat continues to work with the Economic Development Commission to revitalize New Fairfield's Town Center.

Her goal is to support our existing small businesses and attract new businesses to our Town by working with commercial property owners, commercial real estate brokers and prospective business owners.  Working with State legislators and the Board of Selectmen, Pat pursued state funding for the Margerie Reservoir Trail, and is now working collaboratively with the City of Danbury to complete the design and construction of the multi-use trail.

Khris Hall is currently on the New Fairfield Board of Selectman

"The last six years have been full of challenges. I have enjoyed serving New Fairfielders and am proud of what we have accomplished by working across party lines with other Boards and Commissions and with our State delegation. I look forward to continuing to serve the residents of New Fairfield."

Khris Hall was elect to the Board of Selectmen in November 2017.

As Selectman, she has been actively involved with a number of community activities, including working with the Margerie Reservoir Joint Committee to establish a walking trail along Margerie Reservoir, supporting the activities of the Candlewood Lake Authority and Friends of Ball Pond, managing the New Fairfield/Sherman Vaccination Clinic, providing emergency services after Tropical Storm Isaias, and co-running the shelter in the aftermath of the May 15, 2018 storm. Khris enjoys hearing from the New Fairfield residents at her Listening Hours at the Senior Center and as she is "out and about" during community Activities.

Prior to her election, Khris was a reporter covering New Fairfield boards and commissions and politics for the New Fairfield/Sherman Town Tribune and Citizens News and for her own online blog.

New Fairfield has been Khris’s home for 27 years.  She has five children in a blended family, including two who graduated from New fairfield High School, and five grandchildren.  Khris has a B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literature and a J.D. – both from the University of Kansas.  Prior to her involvement in the community, Khris worked for IBM for 31 years in a number of areas, including Environmental Programs, Governmental Programs, and as a Project Executive running multi-million dollar projects.
